Nashville, TN CONWAY TWITTY. THE MAN, THE MUSIC, THE LEGEND…The MUSICAL is honoring the life and legacy of Country Music Icon Conway Twitty, is scheduled for its Red Carpet Premiere October 12 at Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Polk Theater in Nashville, Tennessee. Created and directed by well-known playwright Randy Johnson, Conway Twitty's story is told through the eyes and heart of his children. It is a loving musical scrapbook of memories that is honest, touching, funny, heartbreaking and sincere. This production will be a musical journey of his heart, from humble beginnings to Rock and Roll Idol and all the way to a pure Country Legend. The Red Carpet arrivals are scheduled for 6pm and the musical will begin at 7:30pm.

“Conway Twitty is an American Musical Legend and at the same time a loving family man who never forgot his humble beginnings,” stated director Randy Johnson. “That is the truth and that is the musical I have created. I am honored and grateful to be chosen as playwright and director of the new musical.  It is a high point in my career.”

CONWAY TWITTY. THE MAN, THE MUSIC, THE LEGEND…The MUSICAL is produced by Poppy Productions, Downunder Productions, Scott Welch, and Robert Williams.  Country music singer-songwriter and producer Anita Cochran has been brought on as the Musical Director as well, and the show will be exclusively booked through Buddy Lee Attractions in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We're looking forward to opening night when we can share this fantastic musical about the life of Conway Twitty and his 35 year career,” said Conway’s daughters Joni and Kathy Twitty.  “We're looking forward to seeing each one of you there because we know you will be able to share the same feelings that we have experienced when you hear this new generation capture the legacy of Conway Twitty.”
